It'll go on sale at out September 1st gig at the Buffalo Bar....hope to see you there!
Alright, stop asking!
Yes, we've finished the album. No, you can't have it yet cos were waiting for Timmay! to sort out the artwork. But soon. A few weeks. Promise.
We have booked a gig though....July 6th at The Spitz. First one in over six months.
Scary!
Where da bass at?
So we've been through 2 gigs in the last seven days sans Tristan. A strange sensation, but it all worked out rather well. Standing in for Our Man In Alaska was Grant from Toupé [click here to see more of that] who did a sterling job at controlling his slap'n'pop and settling into the more sedate Moeker rhythms. Cheers Grant! We'll be playing with Toupé at the gigs on the 1st and 2nd of October....make sure you come down and check 'em out.
The gig with the fabulous Idiot Son [click here to see more of that] on September 15th has been reviewed by musicOMH.com and you can read that by clicking here. Thanks to Idiot Son for putting on such a splendid evening. It was a lot of fun.
We'd also like to thank the Academy, our parents, all major Gods, etc, etc.
Off to catch up on some sleep now.
Chizzle with the what now?
Hehehe... Just got the B&G flyers back from young Tim and they're emblazoned with the legend "Chizzle with the fizzle". Boys been at the Snoop Dogg again.
Thanks to everyone who came to The Comedy, it was a splendid time, we made some new friends, and it looks like we'll be doing a further gig with the utterly loverly Idiot Son. Before all that though, we'll be at the Bull & Gate in Kentish Town on the 18th. Do please come and behold. We might even make a short film. And it'll be the last time you see Tris for a while too...
West End Girls...
...and boys should make their way to The Comedy in Picadilly Circus on Tuesday the 27th July. Following on from our inaugural display at the Dublin Castle (which was a joy, thanks to everyone who came), we're hitting the West End. Oh, yes. And after that I think we're out in Kentish Town somewhere. Possibly billed under the old name until I get round to ringing the promoter.
Anyway, more info in the Gigs section and flyers can be obtained by clicking here. It'd be grand to see ya.
Peta Moeker day, 3rd of July.
Although not officially recognised as such in his home country, literally tens of Belgians have adopted 3rd July, the anniversary of his birth, as Peta Moeker day.
So, what better way to get involved in this growing international phenomenon than for Peta's namesakes and debutant purveyors of electro dirt, Moeker, (yes, that's us - do try and keep up) to perform their inaugural gig. And what better setting than the seedy underbelly of London that is Camden Town?
Click here and say "Oh, look who's playing at the Dublin Castle!"
We am Moeker
Right, listen up. We've done it. We've taken the name we've been going under for longer than anyone can remember and ditched it. Slide Pheromone is no more. (apart from the website, which is still there.)
After months of intense debate we have carefully selected a new name, written some new dirty electro songs, purchased ourselves a new website and badgered Timmay! to colour it in for us despite the fact he's busy being unemployed. Hope you like it.
Voyages in Disco
You wait for 6 months then two tunes come along at once! We've finally got round to finishing the mixes on some of the tunes we recorded at the beginning of the year.
Sunset/Up is what happens when you let a guitar player compose dance music - Neil would like to apologise to the assembled masses for all the two-handed tapping fretwank in the middle. Apart from that it's a pleasant little disco ditty.
Objects In Motion is an altogether different beast with quite a quirky synth-folk vibe and a far more ornate arrangement than we normally employ.
Head over to the music section to check 'em out. Hope you like them both!
