Happiness is.
Credit card much lighter than before though. Judging by the ticket price he's got to make some money to pay for not touring for the past 10 years. What good value an SP gig at a mere four quid...

Well you have to worry when your band mates like Justin Thingy-majig. In fact, come to think of it, my housemate bought his last single too and then learnt how to play the guitar part. Maybe it's a plot. Against me (obviously). And then I found that I quite like the new Christina song (no... I'm lying, I liked the VIDEO).... arghhhhhh
Oh - and whilst I'm here, the above compostion is a little something I call 'Norfolk'. Purdy ain't it... (you have to kinda squit your eyes to see what I mean).

So, I was bombing up the M1 on Saturday on my way Oop North, listening to Radio 1 (Xfm dies once you get past Luton) and sweating copiously in the heat when the track "Rock Your Body" by a Mr. J. Timberlake Esq came on.
As pop music goes its nicely constructed with a catchy singalong chorus and the like. However, in a frankly desperate attempt to get the song up to commercial length there's a little digitally constructed bit at the end where he's beatboxing.
Two days later and whenever I lose my focus a little I catch myself singing this part. Over and over and over again. It's implanted itself in my brain like some particularly vicious trojan virus. The fact I'm writing this is its attempt to replicate and spread to others. The meme is propagating. Panic! Run, you fools! Stop reading this now!
THE PUBLIC MUST BE WARNED.

09:31 16 Jun 2003 Familiar sounds

Had a weird thing happen to me yesterday. I was at a barbeque, eating ribs, music on in the background:
"Am I smart enough/Is your concern enough/Does light escape the dark..."
I absently thought, "That's a nice tune...great voice...sounds familiar somehow..." and it took a good minute or two before I realised the tune playing was "Blind"! Some friends had put the track on to see how long it would take me to recognise it. It was a strange feeling. Maybe this is what it's like to hear your music on the radio...

10:00 26 May 2003 The quiet times...
I suppose I should post something as none of the other lazy f*ckers in the band can be bothered. You know, just to show we're interested...
Southampton lost the FA Cup Final. Boo and hiss. Watched the match in a pub in Finsbury Park, surrounded by Gooners. Simon Pegg (that blonde bloke from "Spaced" for the poorly informed) was there and I went and said hello like a complete twat. :-)
Work is underway on the EP, demos are being assembled, songs honed and whittled into pleasant shapes. Once the Water Rats gig is passed we'll "go into the other room and make them work" as Syd put it. Will also have a new tune mixed for the site as soon as we get some new vocal and keyboard takes.
That's yer lot.
